About diagnosis, treatment and recovery
What does rehabilitation aim for in MS?
It aims to preserve function and independence by supporting walking, balance, strength and energy management.
Does rehabilitation replace MS drug treatment?
No; rehabilitation does not replace medical treatment, it works alongside neurology follow-up and complements it. Relapse treatment and DMT management run in the MS treatment program of our Neurology & Neurosurgery center.
Does the gait robot increase fatigue?
Therapy is dosed with attention to fatigue; controlled, repetitive work is planned with energy management.
Is exercise done during a relapse?
The program is adapted according to relapse/remission status in line with neurology follow-up.
What can be done for balance and fall problems?
Fall risk is reduced with balance platforms and robotic balance/gait support.
How does heat sensitivity affect therapy?
Therapy is planned with attention to heat sensitivity, using a suitable environment and dosing.
How often should the program be done?
Frequency is set individually and planned according to goals after assessment.
Are home continuation programs and remote follow-up possible?
