About breast augmentation
When you may not need it
If you want a modest increase and have excess body fat, fat transfer may be enough. If the main problem is sagging, a lift is considered.

What is done in the operation
Before surgery your chest is measured and the implant’s size and shape are chosen together.
Implants come in two shapes. A round implant is symmetrical in every direction and fills the cleavage; an anatomical implant is a teardrop that is fuller at the bottom and stays close to a natural slope. In thin tissue the anatomical implant softens the transition, but if it rotates the shape can be distorted.
The incision site and implant placement are planned at the examination according to your tissue. The implant is placed through a small incision, which is closed in layers.
If there is sagging as well as volume loss, a lift can be done in the same operation; if you already have implants, the old ones can be replaced.

You send front and side photos of your chest and your health details; the surgeon makes a preliminary assessment.
Examination & Measurement
Your chest measurements and tissue are assessed; the implant’s size, shape and placement are chosen together and pre-operative tests are done.
Surgery & Stay
The operation is done under general anaesthesia and a support bra is fitted. The package covers two nights in hospital and three nights in a hotel.
Week 1
You are checked and asked not to lift your arms above shoulder level. You are cleared to fly after this check-up.
First Weeks
The support bra is worn for a few weeks; exercise and heavy lifting start with your surgeon’s approval.
Over the Months
Swelling goes down and the implant settles; the breast takes its final shape and the scar fades.
