About diagnosis, treatment and recovery
Is the second opinion really free?
Yes. There is no charge for the file review and council opinion, and you are under no obligation to start any treatment.
Which documents should I send?
Your diagnosis report, pathology result, imaging reports (MRI/CT/PET) and your current treatment plan, if any, are sufficient. You may send them in your own language.
When will I receive the opinion?
Once your documents arrive in full, your file is reviewed by a council of the relevant specialties and we get back to you within 24 hours.
Are my documents secure?
The documents you upload are stored in a non-public area and shared only with the medical team performing the review. Details are in our Data Protection Notice.
What if the council opinion conflicts with my current treatment plan?
The opinion is a recommendation; the decision is yours. Where it differs, the reasoning is explained in writing, and the report is sent to you to share with your own physician.
Can I have the consultation in my own language?
Yes. Medical interpreter support is free of charge; you may send your documents in your own language and hold the consultation with an interpreter present.
Whom do I contact if I have questions after the second opinion?
An international patient coordinator is assigned to your file; questions after the opinion, further document requests and appointment planning all go through the same person.
